Haruka Nanase x Reader-Gone But Not Forgotten

        The ear piercing sounds of the school bell snapped you out of your thoughts. "Just another daydream.."you said to yourself as you made your way to the lockers.

    Years have passed after you and Haruka went separate ways. You attended high school in a larger city and worked at a local fast food restaurant. You never had the chance to visit Haruka; so you decided pick up a job, in hopes of going back to him. As time passed, you never forgot your childhood love and still kept the necklace he gave you. In fact, no boy was any good for you. You had many boys fall for you ever since Haruka left. Love notes were left on your desk and confessions were very frequent.

 However, only one boy won your heart: Haruka Nanase. 

  "_______!!". You heard your friend, _______, call your name; running up to you. "Did you get another confession in Math class?"she asked; searching your face for an answer. 

"Sorry but I don't really care about those types of things"you said, grabbing your bag out of your locker. 

"If you don't care about those things, why do you have this picture in your locker?"_______ said as she pointed out to a small picture of you and Haruka as children. The picture was taken on the day you left Iwatobi town; and was also the last picture you had of Haruka. 

    "Is that boy supposed to be your boyfriend?"_____ asked as she let out a giggle. 

You couldn't help but turn a bright shade of red as you turned to face the other way. 

"N-no...."you mumbled as you heard ______ giggle even more.

"You two are so cute in this picture!"she smiled as she took a closer look. You were wearing a white dress and a veil while standing beside Haruka. His face was a deep shade of red as he put an arm around you; resting your head on his shoulder. 

"Anyway, I better leave for work...I'll see you tomorrow!!!"you shouted as you sprinted out of the building.

    You stood at the front of the cashier as you gazed out the window. The thought of being with Haruka has always crossed your mind. Every night, you'd imagine him sleeping next to you; cuddling you as you fell asleep in his arms. You awaited the day you two were going to reunite; the promise he made before you left. 

   You missed the way he used to cheer you up. He had a special way of hugging you and you missed that feeling of being in his arms. When you cry, he'd always be there to wipe your tears. To Haruka, you were his princess, and he would do whatever it takes to please you. 

   You never removed the necklace and you still wore it after all these years. It reminded you of Haruka as the necklace had a pink dolphin charm and smelled of chlorine. 

   However, because you haven't seen Haruka in such a long time, you had no idea of what he could be doing. 

 What if he already had a girlfriend? 

    You began to worry when all of a sudden, you heard a loud smack on the counter in front. 

"HELLO?!?! I ordered a fillet sandwhich 10 minutes ago and I still didn't get it!!!"a teenage boy yelled as he continued to smack the counter. 

"I-I'm sorry! Let me just get your order!"you apologized as you quickly gave the boy's order. You had to admit, the boy was pretty hot for someone his age. He had the perfect set of muscles, luscious black hair and not to mention, a cute booty. 

"N-no...must not stare...must not stare..."you thought to yourself as you tried to get yourself together. It was strange for you to look at someone else like that since you only had eyes for Haruka. You never looked at anyone in that way. 

"It's about time!! Girls like you are always so lazy and air headed"the boy said in a cold tone as he left. 

    You watched him leave as you carried on with your work. 

    You felt a strange feeling the moment after he left; something felt wrong. You touched your neck to find that the necklace was gone.

"What do I do?!"you panicked as you searched everywhere in hopes of finding the necklace. The necklace was your prized possession, and the last thing you would want was to lose it.

What if you never found it and was lost forever? 

All of a sudden, a thought came to your mind; bringing a shocked expression. 

"I-I must've dropped it in that boy's paper bag while I was giving it" you thought. Of all people, he was the one with your necklace.

  Unfortunately, you gave up on the search and spent the rest of the work period in disappointment

      "There goes my last memory of Haruka.."you thought to yourself as you tried to hold back tears. Losing the necklace felt like losing all the moments you and Haruka shared. You lost a part of him. 

   You opened your tiny locker retrieving your belongings; preparing to leave after a long shift at work. 

Suddenly, As you took a closer look, you noticed a bouquet of roses,a note and your necklace. This was peculiar since only your closest friends knew about your part time job. You were relieved to find the necklace, picking up the note along with the bouquet.
The moment you began reading the first few lines, a surprised expression met your face as tears of joy left your eyes.

You raced for the door as fast as you could....never turning back. 

  The note fell to ground...
